Tomorrow morning in Kid's Church we'll be talking with the kids about our identity in Christ. God gives us so many verses in the Bible that tells us who we are and who we're meant to be. Eph. 2:4 tells us that we are deeply loved. Eph. 2:6 says that we belong to Jesus. In a world that's so centered on fitting in or "being cool," it's important for our children to realize that they don't have to stress out about fitting in with a crowd of people who are only judging us by our outside appearances and their perceptions of our character, because that's not what God looks at. God sees us for who he's made us to be. I found a great quote the other day that says, "Judge your worth and value by what God says about you in His word, not by how somebody else treats you.-unknown We belong to Jesus and he sees great value in us! Jesus delights in being able to say, "This child is mine" just like our kids are always so excited to say "This is my mom, my dad" or "I got a really cool new bike yesterday, it's mine and I love it!" And finally, in Psalm 139:14 it says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We will also be playing a couple of fun games tomorrow: the "hip waddle" and the "balloon bounce." As for events, we'll be starting our Missionary Offering Project tomorrow. For the entire month of December, we will be collecting our offering in Kid's Church to provide for our missionaries around the world and will be praying for them weekly, as well.
